I am 28 years old, married, and facing one of the toughest challenges of my life - scoliosis surgery. My surgery will occur on June 5, 2007. This is a journal of my journey pre- and post-surgery (probably with other thoughts too).

For Lent
My husband gave up swearing for Lent - that lasted about 5 hours. He lost. He tried this last year too - and failed. Maybe he should try giving up something else . . .

I have tried doing that as well. I even told it to my priest once who asked "so does that mean you'll pick it up again at Easter?"
I gave up ice cream. Which believe me, is a sacrifice.
